Jelani Travel has been providing well-curated travel experiences for Black people for almost a decade. Focused on helping people of African descent reimagine Africa, Jelani has successfully led epic travel journeys to 16 countries. Touted as the ultimate vacation with a purpose, women participate in service activities and enjoy Africa in ways previously unimaginable. To provide high-quality, transformative experiences, Jelani Travel focuses on four elements: self-care, service, culture and adventure. The woman-owned company works in tandem with nonprofit organization Jelani Gives, to empower the next generation and provide educational, cultural opportunities to Black children.
Ashley N. Company is a social entrepreneur who has traveled more than half the world to 100+ countries. Utilizing a dual-purpose structure, she curates life-changing experiences for Black women and youth through cultural immersion and service trips through Africa with Jelani Travel. Coupled with Jelani Gives, Ashley simultaneously raises funds to recreate experiences for underserved youth throughout Africa and the United States.
As an inspirational storyteller and activist, she is known for delivering impactful talks about Black identity, Africa tourism, cultural competence and women in leadership. Ashley has started a movement for women and girls of color to reimagine Africa and redefine their concept of community and identity–a testament to the powerful results that are generated when passion and purpose are strategically aligned.
